As soon as I saw these little butterflies with their cocoons in the latest issue of Making Magazine I knew I had to make them. I mean, come on! How can you not?
The pattern calls for sport weight yarn, but I decided to use up some fingering weight scraps I had. It was so much fun mixing and matching colors to create these. I'm giving them to my granddaughters for Easter. I think they're going to have so much fun playing with them, especially putting them in and taking them out of their cocoons.
I highly recommend this pattern. It is written by Susan B. Anderson, who writes the most detailed, easy to follow patterns and creates the cutest little toy knitting patterns.
