Crocheted Chevron Baby Blanket Pattern

A family member is having a little boy soon so I wanted to make a cozy blanket for him. I really liked

this pattern

I found online and adjusted it slightly to fit what I wanted. Also, I like the look of the edges so i didn't crochet the edging like in the pattern I found.

It took me 20 hours to make this blanket. I gave myself an hour each day to work on it and was able to finish it in 20 days. I wanted to share that because Christmas is right around the corner and that will give you an idea for your countdown. :)

Almost done. :)

Here's how I made it:

Finished size: 28" x 36"

I used 6 colors:

178 yds Berroco Comfort DK in Color 2763

178 yds Berroco Comfort DK in Color 2736

I'm not sure of the exact yardage I used of the following colors,

as I didn't use the entire skein of these:

Paton Beehive Baby Sport in Color Vintage Lace

Paton Beehive Baby Sport in Color Bonnet Blue

Lion Brand Baby Soft in Color Bluebell

Bernat Softee Baby in Color Pale Blue

5 mm crochet hook

Chain 151 stitches.

SK 1 chain from hook, *SC in next 11 stitches, 3 SC in the next stitch, 1 SC in next 11 stitches, SK 2 stitches. Repeat from * until the last SK 2 stitches. Instead, SK 1, 1 SC, CH 1 and turn.

Repeat for 18 rows. Switch to second color and repeat. Do this with each color until you've used all 6 colors. Weave in all ends. Block as needed.
