DIY Embroidery Hoop Wall Art

I wanted to share with you a beautiful, quick, easy and inexpensive way to decorate your walls. I had several embroidery hoops just lying in a drawer, along with some very pretty fabrics. It was time to put these items to good use. Just grab some of your favorite fabrics and those hoops and I'll show you how easy this is to do.

Position your embroidery hoop on your fabric to get an idea of what part of the pattern will be visible in the hoop. Then cut the piece of fabric a couple of inches larger than the hoop. Place the fabric in the hoop and make sure the pattern looks the way you want. Trim away the excess fabric, leaving about an inch around the edge. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Using some fabric glue, squeeze a thin line of it around the inner edge of the embroidery hoop.

Press the fabric inward toward the center of the hoop, going around the entire edge, being sure all of the fabric edges adhere to the hoop. You may have to go around a couple of times.

That's it! You now have a beautiful piece of art to hang on your wall. You could embroider some inspirational words on your fabrics as well, which I plan on doing. And if you're making one to give as a gift, it may be nice to add a backing of some felt or a plain fabric just to make it look neater. For my own personal use though I didn't find that necessary.

I suggest laying your finished hoops out on a large table or the floor to design exactly how you will want them to look on your wall, then go about hanging them.
