Pastel Mood

We've had lots of sunshine and spring-like weather around here in Northern California lately, and that's put me in a pastel mood, I guess. In looking back at some of my most recent Instagram shots I noticed this pattern. I love how they all flow together.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous February so far!

Vintage Crocheted Pillow

I saw a pattern for a beautiful, round, vintage pillow in the Woman's Weekly Vintage Pattern Magazine and immediately knew I had to make it. I had this gorgeous Malabrigo yarn (colorway English Rose) in my stash and decided to use it for this pillow. It's a wonderful pattern and is coming together very nicely.

This is only halfway through the pattern, so it will be a good size pillow. I'm thinking it will look pretty in my granddaughter's room. :)

My Antiques Fair Finds

I don't know how so much time went by without me knowing about the Alameda Point Antiques Faire, but I did just learn of it and had to go check it out. I sure am glad I did. What an amazing event! It's held the first Sunday of every month and there are about 800 booths full of beautiful antiques.

We spent about 4 hours walking through and checking out the booths, and we didn't even get to see every single one of them. It's really overwhelming, but so much fun. We also enjoyed meeting some of the dealers and having great conversations.
This was a booth full of the beautiful colored bottles. I had to take a shot of it.

There was booth after booth that had beautiful items like this. So much to look at.

I really liked this booth with buckets of vintage buttons. You could buy a scoop for a dollar.

Some things I found and purchased are these pretty bottles and books. There's just something about old books that makes me so happy. I had a lot of fun styling these items and photographing them with some roses I picked from my garden.

My very favorite purchase of the day was this View-Master and reels from the 50's and 60's.

And once we made it to the end we got to take in the beautiful San Francisco skyline view.

If you love vintage items and haven't visited this antiques fair then you really should. You will be so glad you did.

Until next time...
